Following DHS chief Kirstjen Nielsen being heckled out of a Mexican restaurant by protesters days earlier, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the first Trump official to be ejected from a restaurant by the owner herself. 

Reports of Sanders being 86’d from Virginia’s Red Hen restaurant as if she were the long lost sister to SNL’s Butabi brothers has led the national conversation to question if this reaction is acceptable. Not only is it acceptable, it’s needed.

Long Days of Hate

A weekend of violence rocked Charlottesville, Virginia as multiple white supremacist groups converged on the college town to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

The ensuing chaos resulted in three deaths and multiple assaults. However, the largest scar on our nation would come from what our President refused to say.

The King’s Speech

On Sunday, Iowa Rep. Steve King accidentally posted his comment for white supremacist website, Stormfront, on his Twitter account.

King is referencing Party for Freedom candidate, Geert Wilders, who is running for Dutch Prime Minister. My personal belief of political organizations which use “family” or “freedom” in their name is that it increases their likelihood of being hateful cesspools (e.g., Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, American Freedom Party, American Freedom Union). This applies to European groups as well. Party for Freedom doesn’t disappoint.
