Last week, the nation watched as the President gave his first State of the Union Address of his second term.
Regular readers will know that I was a strong supporter of the President’s fully funded American Jobs Act. I could not have been more pleased to hear the bill return to the spotlight during last Tuesday’s address.

This past weekend, Country music star Hank Williams Jr. performed at the Iowa State Fair. You may recall last year that Williams’ theme song was dropped by ESPN’s Monday Night Football for making outrageous comments against President Obama on Fox News (where else?).
Regardless of Williams’ past, it did not prevent him from saying something incredibly stupid last Friday night.
During a campaign stop last week in Virginia, President Obama spoke about how Americans are assisted or inspired by others on their journey to succeed. Or, if you follow the conservative media, the President simply said, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”
Last week, President Obama announced a new immigration policy that will benefit thousands of people. The policy allows illegal immigrants to file for a two-year deferral from deportation, with the possibility of renewal. The criteria for eligibility are:
